International Award "Tecnovisionarie®" 2024I am Dr. Raziyeh Akbari, born in Iran in March 1989. I obtained my bachelor's degree (2010), master's degree (2013), and Ph.D. (2019) in solid state physics from the University of Tehran, Iran. My doctoral thesis was partially conducted at the NICELab, Université Côte d’Azur, France. In 2020, I moved to Italy to take up a post-doctoral position at the University of Milano-Bicocca, working on the WaterHaB project for the design of bio-inspired atmospheric water collectors. My main research interest lies in wetting phenomena and their applications, particularly in the areas of clean water supply and self-cleaning surface manufacturing. With 16 years of dedication to research on water-solid interaction, I am the author of over 13 articles in specialized journals. My efforts have been recognized through various awards and research grants, including the Young Scientists Festival award in 2019 in Iran. I have always shown a strong commitment to advancing my global collaboration within the scientific community. By actively engaging with scientific centers around the world, I have contributed to international teams and institutions in France and Italy. Through discussions and collaborations with researchers worldwide, including the UK, Australia, and China, I have showcased my expertise with esteemed institutions such as the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI). I am confident in myself and enjoy giving public speeches, as evidenced by numerous participations in international conferences, interviews with newspapers like La Repubblica in Italy, and brief interviews on national television in Iran. I review approximately 6 articles per year for peer-reviewed journals from AIP, ACS, RSC, and MDPI. I have actively contributed to the writing and presentation of grant proposals at the international level, such as Marie-Curie, ERC, FIS, and many semi-industrial funds with budgets of up to 2 million euros. Additionally, I have mentored many students, from bachelor's to doctoral level, during their research, thesis writing, defense, and article publication.
