Curriculum

Born in Milan on 01/19/1975

Education and professional career:

  • Classical high school diploma
  • Five-year degree in Civil Engineering, hydraulic specialization, University of Pavia, Italy;
  • First level post-graduate Master's degree in protection and planning of the quality of surface waters, University of Pavia, Italy;
  • Competent technician in environmental acoustics and energy certification.
  • PhD in Energy and Environmental Technologies, University of Bergamo, Italy.

From 2001 to 2014, she worked as an external researcher, seminar lecturer, and adjunct professor for the Technical Physics laboratory at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Pavia. In particular, she was among the pioneers of energy certification of buildings, and taught classes in many of the first professional courses for the training of the energy certifier professional figure. At the same time, she worked as a freelance professional in the field of acoustics, renewable energies, and energy efficiency. In 2012, she was part of the research team at the University of Pavia that designed a new machine to extract water from the air. In 2014, she became the Research and Development Manager at SEAS-SA, Société de l'Eau Aérienne Suisse, born following the success of the prototype. In 2016, she was chosen as one of the 100 Italian experts in the STEM field (100 experts project). Today she continues her pioneering work in the field of extracting water from the air at SEAS-SA as R&D Manager and at the University of Pavia as an external researcher; she is a co-author of numerous international scientific articles and popular publications, teaches in the field of Technical Physics, and serves as a topic editor and reviewer for international scientific journals. She is a councilor of the Order of Engineers of Lodi.
