Milan, March 24, 2025 – An increasingly complex and digitalized world presents various challenges in cybersecurity and personal data protection, but also new opportunities.

The topic will be at the center of the meeting Cybersecurity, personal data and Artificial Intelligence: challenges, opportunities and inclusion, scheduled for March 26 at 11:30 AM at the Spazio Europa Conference Room of the European Parliament in Rome, Via IV Novembre 149, and organized by the association Women&Tech® ETS.

Experts in cybersecurity and representatives of institutions will discuss the key aspects of personal data protection, with a particular focus on protecting the most vulnerable categories and balancing the safeguarding of fundamental rights with technological progress, also in light of the increasing spread of Artificial Intelligence systems.

The job opportunities that these sectors can offer to the new generations will also be explored in depth, along with the most effective strategies to promote greater awareness and responsibility in the use of new technologies by both young people and adults.

Data protection is not only a responsibility of companies and organizations but a fundamental right of individuals. In an era where data (personal and otherwise) is a valuable resource, cybersecurity becomes a crucial tool for the protection of rights,” stated Laura Liguori, Vice President of Women&Tech® ETS, who added, “Organizations must continuously invest in training, technologies, and cybersecurity strategies to protect personal data and ensure a secure digital environment. At the same time, a broad awareness campaign is necessary so that citizens are aware of the value of their data and better able to recognize the dangers they face. Only through a proactive and integrated approach can we build a future where technology and privacy coexist harmoniously.”
