Women&Tech renews its commitment to promoting innovation and sustainability through active participation in the Advanced Training Course in Integral Ecology: Challenges and Opportunities to Address the Sustainability Crisis, organized by the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Giuseppe Benedetto Dusmet Foundation. The course represents an opportunity to deepen the topics related to ecological transition, resource management, and the impact of emerging technologies on socio-economic systems.
Women&Tech® ETS continues to be a point of reference in promoting a multidisciplinary approach to sustainability challenges, fostering dialogue between innovation, economy, and social responsibility.
Participation in the course is open to everyone and allows the achievement of 3 credits for those enrolled at the Pontifical Gregorian University, which will be done through registration for the course on the website https://www.unigre.it/it/studenti/ammissione/immatricolazione/ and a payment of fees amounting to €175.00 for those not yet enrolled. Registration must be completed by January 24, 2025, or later with the payment of a small penalty.
Enrolled students will receive a formal certificate from the University Registrar’s Office.
Non-enrolled students will receive a JOINT CERTIFICATE from Dusmet/Laudato Si’ Observatory/relevant Professional Order.

Loredana Cristaldi, Full Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, and Lorella Bigatti, Sole Director of NuovEnergie District Heating, will illustrate the latest frontiers in research and development of sustainable energy systems, with particular attention to the production and distribution of thermal energy.
Access to water resources and the conservation of biodiversity are essential aspects for the resilience of ecosystems. Lucia Cattani, an expert in water treatment technologies and professor at the University of Pavia, together with Rita Auriemma, professor of Underwater Archaeology at the University of Salento, will offer an in-depth analysis of the challenges related to water resource management, between anthropogenic exploitation and conservation strategies.
The integration of digital technologies into urban infrastructures requires critical reflection on the implications in terms of cybersecurity and data governance. Marilena Hyeraci (Chiomenti), Alessio Biondo (University of Catania), and Marco Russo (Consultant for government entities on sustainability) will examine the emerging vulnerabilities in urban contexts and the necessary measures to ensure data protection and the security of strategic infrastructures.
Digital transformation and new economic dynamics are redefining the labor market and financial development models. Gianna Martinengo, CEO of Didael KTS and President of Women&Tech, will participate in a session analyzing the impact of emerging technologies on employment and inclusive growth opportunities. The discussion will be enriched by the insights of Stefano Zamagni, Emeritus President of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, and Leonardo Becchetti, economist at the University of Tor Vergata, who will explore the challenges of sustainable finance and strategies to promote economic inclusion in the context of the ecological transition.
