The Inner Wheel Club of Asti celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of the Club’s founding in Asti (January 18, 1995) and organizes two meetings open to the public titled: The Imperfect Art of Being Parents, Grandparents, and Teachers. Difficulties in relationships with parents? Difficulties in relationships with digital technology? Let’s talk about it!
This year’s theme of Inner Wheel, as directed by the National President Giuliana Bausano Vinardi and the District Governor Cristina Poggio, focuses on actions that help achieve a better future for new generations and promote those that support young people and women.
The Asti Club intends to celebrate the 30th anniversary by including in the annual program two events open to the public with two nationally renowned speakers to support young mothers, grandparents, teachers, and all those involved in the growth of children from infancy to pre-adolescence.
The difficult current moment, for the growth of new generations, requires specific attention, languages, attitudes, behaviors, and examples that our generation is not always able to understand and recognize.
The two meetings, supported by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Asti, with the patronage of the Municipality of Asti and the Province of Asti, will take place in the library on February 15 and February 22 at 10:30 AM and are organized thanks to the fruitful collaboration with the Biblioteca Astense Giorgio Faletti and the network of partners working on these topics: the Associazione Genitorinsieme, the Family Center of the Municipality of Asti, and the Augusto Monti Educational Institute.
The aim is to highlight and make known what is active in the area and can serve as a point of reference and concrete support for families. The Club hopes that the theme of the two conferences and the value of the speakers will contribute to providing significant support to families and to all those who have direct contact with young people.
The first appointment will be with Alberto Pellai, doctor, psychotherapist, researcher, and Italian writer. The focus of his books and lectures is the education of preadolescent and adolescent children.
On February 22, an appointment with Gianna Martinengo, founder and President of DKTS and Women&Tech® ETS, a pioneer of digital technology in education, who will share her reflections and experiences, particularly on the topic of digital technology in the school and family environment, which requires an integrated approach with socio-psycho-pedagogical, legal, and security dynamics, as well as health and well-being issues.
In her role as President of the Scientific Committee of MUSA scarl and member of the IT-TD Board of the Municipality of Milan, she will also share the results of the recently concluded project in Milan funded by the PNRR: "Milan - Digital Educational Pact", and copies of the "Recommendations for the well-being and digital safety of children and pre-adolescents" will be distributed.
Additionally, participants will receive 100 codes to use the antivirus solution from Trend Micro free of charge (for 1 year on 3 personal devices). Trend Micro, a supporting member of Women&Tech® ETS, is an international cybersecurity company founded in 1988, now present in over 65 countries, whose motto is “making the world a safer place for exchanging digital information”.
