Ingegnere elettrico, ho lavorato in ambienti in cui la rappresentanza maschile era predominante ed ho potuto così toccare con mano le difficoltà che una donna può incontrare per affermarsi professionalmente quando l’appartenenza al genere femminile è il più delle volte uno svantaggio e fonte di discriminazioni. Ho voluto fortemente cercare di cambiare le cose anziché subirle, e per questo mi sono sempre impegnata a vario titolo per sostenere e promuovere il diritto delle donne ad avere pari dignità e possibilità di affermarsi, nella vita e nel lavoro. Sono stata membro della Commissione Pari Opportunità di Rai Way e dal 2018 lavoro in Rai nell’area CTO, dove mi occupo di servizi innovativi di piattaforma.  Collaboro dal 2015 con la Onlus AFLIN (www.aflin.org), che sostiene progetti a favore delle donne in India contro la tragica piaga delle spose bambine, in particolare puntando sulla loro istruzione per un futuro che le veda consapevoli protagoniste della loro vita. Credo nell’educazione al rispetto e alla gentilezza come principale motore di cambiamento della società e mi esercito con mia figlia, a cui cerco di trasmettere l’amore per i libri e per la scienza.

Being an electrical engineer, I have worked in companies where male representation was predominant, and I have experienced first hand the difficulties that a woman has to face when trying to establish herself professionally, when belonging to the female gender is most often a disadvantage and a source of discrimination. I strongly wanted to try to change things rather than suffer them, and that’s why I have always been committed in supporting and promoting the right of women to have equal dignity and possibilities in their life and with their jobs. I was a member of the Equal Opportunities Commission of Rai Way and I joined Rai in 2018, in the CTO area, where I support the development of innovative platform services. Since 2015 I have been collaborating with the Onlus AFLIN (www.aflin.org), which supports projects in favor of women in India against the tragic plight of child brides, in particular focusing on their education, so to give them a future in which they can be aware protagonists of their lives. I believe in education to respect and kindness as the main engine of change in society and I practice with my daughter, to whom I try to convey the love for books and science.
