Maria Enrica Angelone

Maria Enrica Angelone, plus-20 years of experience, is CEO of Wallife, a start-up in the Insurtech industry focusing to study and insure the new risks emerging from scientific and technological progress.

She began her career as an Auditor and Chartered Accountant, before being appointed CFO of Venere.com, a leading-edge company in the world of online travel in 2005. In 2010 she became CFO of Octo Telematics, which with the “black box” for cars becomes the first world player in insurance telematics and the first Italian firm to foresee and exploit the opportunities provided by Internet of things and big data. In 2019 she moved to London, where she held the position of CFO of the company SUSE, a pioneer of open source software, actually present in over 35 countries.

Author of the book «PlanMeasure, Scale» (Franco Angeli, 2022) she liked to share her experience of the scale-up phase, which is particularly insidious, because in addition to the challenges of the market, the continuous change imposed by growth increases the risk of failure. She hopes to help managers, entrepreneurs and students achieve their own success, and above all to inspire young colleagues to pursue their ambitions.

She graduated in Economics from Luiss Guido Carli, is part of the Academy of the 24 Ore Business School and of the Corporate Advisory Board of the Executive MBA Part Time in Rome (born from the partnership between MIP Politecnico di Milano and John Cabot University).
