Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Director, L’Oréal Italy
Nata a Torino e laureata nel 1990 in Chimica Industriale presso l’Università degli Studi di Torino, ha svolto attività di ricerca presso la stessa Università. Abilitata alla professione di Chimico e iscritta all’Albo dei Chimici dal 1990, ha cominciato il suo percorso professionale in aziende private del settore metalmeccanico e chimico, nell’ambito dei laboratori di Controllo Qualità e R&D, per poi assumere dal 1997 la responsabilità dei laboratori R&D di L’Oréal in Italia presso lo stabilimento di Settimo Torinese dopo un periodo trascorso nei laboratori di sviluppo prodotti presso la R&D del Gruppo L’Oréal a Parigi. Dal 2000 è Direttore Scientifico e Regolamentare per la filiale italiana, con la responsabilità della conformità tecnico-regolamentare e della Vigilanza di prodotti cosmetici, integratori alimentari e dispositivi medici. Dal 2007 ha anche la responsabilità di coordinare il Servizio Consumatori con il preciso scopo di adattare le risposte ad una rigorosa e trasparente oggettività scientifica.
E’ referente delle principali organizzazioni associative (Cosmetica Italia, Federchimica) e delle istituzioni nazionali per tutte le tematiche scientifiche, regolamentari e di consumer advisory nel mondo della cosmesi. Ha ricoperto l’incarico di Presidente del Comitato Tecnico di Cosmetica Italia. Ha arricchito il suo percorso professionale con corsi manageriali presso l’European Center for Executive Development, in Francia. Attualmente in qualità di esperto tiene lezioni in corsi organizzati da istituti pubblici e privati e in Università, nell’area delle tematiche scientifiche e tecnico-regolamentari per il settore cosmetico. E’ membro della Giuria dell’edizione italiana del Premio L’Oréal-UNESCO “For Women in Science”.
Born in Turin and graduated in 1990 in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Turin, she had been doing research at the same university. Enrolled in the Chemistry Professional Order since 1990, she began her professional career in the private sector (mechanical and chemical companies) in Quality Control and R&D Laboratories, and later in 1997 she took the responsibility of the R&D labs in L'Oréal Italy at the Settimo Torinese plant, following a period spent in the L’Oréal Group’s R&D laboratories in Paris. Since 2000 she is Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Director of the Italian branch, with responsibility for regulatory compliance and supervision of cosmetics products, food supplements and medical devices. Since 2007 she has also been responsible for coordinating the Consumer Service with the precise aim of adapting the responses to rigorous and transparent scientific objectivity.
She is the reference person for the main industrial associations (Cosmetica Italia, Federchimica) and national institutions with regards to scientific, regulatory and consumer advisory issues in the cosmetics world. She has held the position of Chairman of the Technical Committee of Cosmetica Italia. She has also developed her professional career by participating in management courses at the European Centre for Executive Development, in France. Currently, as an expert, she holds lectures on courses organized by public and private institutions and at Universities in the area of scientific and technical issues for the cosmetics industry. She is a member of the Jury for the initiative L’Oréal-UNESCO "For Women in Science" in Italy.
