Researcher at the Department of Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano. Lecturer in "Chemical Bioengineering" and "Biotechnological Applications and Bioreactors" at the Politecnico di Milano. The results of in vitro experimental activity that entails the dynamic culture of biological constructs using dedicated bioreactors brought to the first clinical application of engineered airways in the field of trachea tissue engineering.
Winner of the "Start Cup Milano Lombardia 2006" competition and of the "Premio Nazionale Innovazione- 2006 (PNI 2006)" award. Vice-president of SKE s.r.l. a start up for advanced therapies at the Politecnico di Milano. In 2008 winner of “La Lombardia per il lavoro” award 2008 from Regione Lombardia. Contributing for the exposition of the bioreactor used in the first clinical airway transplantation at the exhibition “Who am I?” which has been launched as a key part of the Science Museum’s centenary celebrations in June 2010.
She is author of about 40 peer reviewed international papers in the field of biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
