Beatrice Trussardi è nata nel 1971. Ha conseguito la sua formazione in Contemporary Art Business & Administration alla New York University e ha collaborato con alcuni tra i principali musei di New York come il Guggenheim Museum, il Metropolitan Museum e il Museum of Modern Art.
Dal 1999 è Presidente della Fondazione Nicola Trussardi. Sotto la sua Presidenza, nel 2003, la Fondazione ha lasciato gli spazi espositivi della sede di Palazzo Trussardi alla Scala operando come un museo nomade, che concepisce e produce grandi mostre di arte contemporanea con artisti di livello internazionale, pensate ad hoc per palazzi dimenticati, architetture monumentali e spazi simbolici e spesso inaccessibili di Milano.
Nel 2012 Beatrice è stata nominata membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione del MAXXI di Roma. Da settembre 2014 è anche membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione del Comitato Fondazioni Italiane Arte Contemporanea.
Dal settembre 2013 è entrata a far parte del Board Internazionale del Comitato Women in Diplomacy. Dal 2007 è membro del Women’s Leadership Board della John F. Kennedy School of Government presso l’Università di Harvard negli Stati Uniti, per la promozione del ruolo delle donne in tutti i livelli della società.
Dal 1999 al 2014 ha operato, con vari ruoli e responsabilità, tra cui Presidente e Amministratore Delegato, all’interno del Gruppo Trussardi. Nel 2010 ha ricevuto dal Presidente della Repubblica Italiana la nomina a Commendatore della Repubblica.
Ha inoltre ricoperto ruoli che l’hanno vista impegnata socialmente attraverso progetti destinati a sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica su tematiche come l’innovazione, la sostenibilità e un futuro diverso per il nostro pianeta.
Beatrice Trussardi was born in 1971. She completed her studies in Contemporary Art Business & Administration at New York University while working at some of the leading museums in New York, such as the Guggenheim, the Metropolitan, and the Museum of Modern Art.
She has chaired the Fondazione Nicola Trussardi since 1999. Under her leadership, in 2003, the foundation moved out of its exhibition spaces in Palazzo Trussardi alla Scala to become a nomadic museum that conceives of and organises major contemporary art exhibitions by internationally renowned artists which are created specifically for forgotten and often inaccessible buildings, monuments, and landmarks around Milan.
In 2012, the Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities appointed her to the Board of MAXXI - Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo in Rome. Since September 2014 she is also Board Member of the Comitato Fondazioni Italiane Arte Contemporanea.
In September 2013, at the invitation of the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, she joined the International Board of the Women in Diplomacy Committee. Since 2007 she has been on the Women’s Leadership Board of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Cambridge, which works to expand the role of women at every level.
From 1999 to 2014, she held various positions and responsibilities including those of President and CEO within Trussardi Group. In 2010, the President of the Italian Republic awarded her the official title of Commendatore.
She is also committed to social projects aimed at increasing awareness on themes such as innovation, sustainability and shaping a different future for our planet.
