Alessandra Accogli è CEO e Co-founder di Sinergy Flow S.r.l, una startup deep tech che si occupa dello sviluppo di batterie innovative per rendere possibile l’attuale transizione energetica.
Ha svolto il Dottorato di Ricerca al Politecnico di Milano focalizzandosi sullo sviluppo e l’ottimizzazione di batterie di nuova generazione che utilizzino materiali abbondanti e a basso impatto ambientale, conseguendo il titolo cum laude nel Luglio 2021.
Nel 2019 vince la Rocca Foundation Doctoral Fellowship per svolgere attività di ricerca presso l’Electrochemical Energy Laboratory al Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) dove si occupa dello studio di batterie sodio-aria.
A Maggio 2020 viene premiata con il Lamborghini Future FAB Award – 2019 Edition nel settore Tecnologia per il suo progetto sullo sviluppo di una batteria anode-free a base sodio come alternativa più performante, sicura e sostenibile rispetto ai dispositivi agli ioni di litio per il settore automotive.
Alessandra Accogli is CEO and Co-founder of Sinergy Flow S.r.l, a deep tech startup developing breakthrough batteries for long duration energy storage applications to make the energy transition real.
She carried out her Ph.D. at Politecnico di Milano focusing on the development and optimization of new generation flow batteries employing earth abundant materials with low environmental impact, graduating cum laude in July 2021.
In 2019 she was awarded the Rocca Foundation Doctoral Fellowship to carry out research activities at the Electrochemical Energy Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) working on sodium-air batteries.
In May 2020 she was awarded the Lamborghini Future FAB Award – 2019 Edition in the Technology sector for her project on the development of an anode-free sodium-based battery as a more performing, safe and sustainable alternative to lithium-ion devices for the automotive sector.
