Researcher at the Politecnico of Milan

She is a researcher in Computer Science at the Politecnico of Milan. She studied Computer Science at the University of Tunis where she obtained her Master’s degree. Afterward, she moved to Italy where she attended the Doctoral School of Politecnico di Milano in Informatica e Automatica.  Her research interests regard Information System Technologies with particular orientation to data management in business, risk assessment and emergency management contexts. She has taught and teaches courses on Foundations of Computer Science, Databases and Business processes management.
She is presently working in Public Protection context within two multidisciplinary projects (PROMETEO and MIARIA) focusing her research on engineering solutions for aggregating, processing, storing and publication of acquired data, as well as dealing with the visualization of results and providing simulated emergency management scenarios.
Ouejdane Mejri is founder member of the “PONTES” association of Tunisian in Italy of which she is currently the President. This association has an important cultural print for narrowing gap between the South and the North of the Mediterranean and in a specific way between Tunisia and Italy. More specifically, through the development of a net of acquaintances between agencies, institutions and companies, the association aims to promote economic-social cooperation between Tunisia and Italy in scientific, technological, social and artistic fields.
Ouejdane Mejri is also member of the redaction of the Italian magazine Yalla Italia! that tries to introduce Italians to the cultures of its new residents and to help young Arab immigrants navigate their dual identities.
