Renato Galliano (1959) has been the Managing Director of Milano Metropoli Development Agency since 1997 (www.milanomet.it). Milano Metropoli S.p.A. is part-public and works to promote sustainable development in the metropolitan Milan area.
He is charged with the Presidency of Eurada ( www.eurada.org) for the 2009-2011 period, after having been Vice President since 2005. Eurada is the European Association of Development Agencies.
He is a consultant for the OCSE – LEED Programme.
An expert in local development, he integrates economic considerations with social and environmental ones; he has taught at the Politecnico of Milan and published articles and books that provide more in-depth analyses of territorial development.
