Maria Letizia MELINA has a degree in Law and is a licensed attorney.
She is the Manager of the Technical Innovation in Schools Office – General Information Systems Management – Ministry for Education, Universities and Research
In particular, this position encompasses activities relating to: the continuous technological training of school personnel, the planning of the sector’s formative policies, the search for and promotion of innovative ways of training school personnel and the evaluation of organisational experiments, providing academic institutions with advice in terms of technological structures and standards. The role is also connected to the formulation of plans for technological innovation and the creation of infrastructures to support digital services.
As of 31st October 2007, she has worked in the Government Department for the Digitalisation of Public Administration and Technical Innovation, in the role of Coordinator of the “Digital Innovation research and studies” service in Office II – Studies and projects for digital innovation.
In particular, she is responsible for the development of: plans for technological innovation in the schools, research and universities sectors, both in Italy and abroad; research and analysis programmes in the ICT skills (e-skills) sector; research and analysis of the evolution of digital technologies, identifying areas for practical application in the public and productive sectors and prioritising issues such as open source, multimedia and technologies that facilitate access to services.
