Born in Pinerolo, in the province of Turin, on 8-4-1950, she obtained a degree in Architecture from the Politecnico of Turin (1984). She has been an elementary schoolteacher since 1969 and, as such, has filled various positions in the school system (member of the Evaluation Committee, Headmaster's Collaborator, member of the School Council).
Her professional expertise was enriched by her participation in numerous refresher courses, particularly in mathematics.
She has been part of the Unit for Educational Research of the Mathematics Department (University of Turin), directed by Prof. Ferdinando Arzarello, since 1988. As part of this role, she participated in the group's meetings, refresher seminars and National Inter-Unit Conferences, where she presented papers on the activities tested in her classes.
She is a member of the CKBG (Collaborative Knowledge Building Community), an association that promotes the exchange of ideas and collaboration between researchers and teachers that are united by their interest in educational technologies.
She was a representative of the MIUR's SeT (Science and Technology) Project and coordinated the three associated institutes' web interactions, organising meetings with experts and coordinating their joint initiatives.
She was also a representative of the Comenius Project, entitled "CLETIC - From childhooed to adolescence: how to build the European citizen's critical spirit by talking and writing about science with the support of new communication and information technologies".
She is currently a member of the National Informatics Group and Movement for Educational Cooperation. In this role, she has participated in numerous seminars and was also responsible, in April 2000, for organising a national 3-day seminar in Pinerolo entitled "Mechanical or intelligent?", which dealt with robotics and the use of the Internet in teaching scientific subjects.
She is active on the Roberta Project blog, along with several other blogs and social networks.
She also co-authored, among other publications, the CD-Rom attached to Alberto Pian's "Computers in schools" book.
