Carlo Infante is an occasional lecturer of “Performing Media” in Universities, Academies and other teaching establishments that perform innovation through a social and cultural use of new media.
In the 80s, he organised festivals such as “Scenarios of the Immaterial” in Narni, conducted radio broadcasts on Radio1 and Radio3, TV broadcasts such as “Schools on average” (RAI3) and live-satellite sets such as “FuturChannel” on Stream or, in 2009, “Save As” on RAInews24. As a cultural planner, he has overseen numerous projects relating to the anthropological changes dictated by technological development, with a particular focus on the educational arena (he has collaborated with the Ministry for Public Education and TIN-webscuola [webschool]) and the evolution of language. Among his publications are “Educating on line” (1997, Netbook), Learning by playing. The interactivity between theatre and hypermedia” (Bollati Boringhieri, 2000), “Performing Media. The new spectacularity of interactive and mobile communication” (Novecentolibri, 2004), “PerformingMedia 1.1 Network politics and poetics” (Memori, 2006) and numerous other essays and articles for various newspapers (including NOVA-Sole24ore).
